The moving companies in our referral network are affiliated with United Van Lines and Mayflower Canada, who operate under the United Van Lines umbrella. The van line is a form of a co-op, with individual moving companies or agents using the van line system and tariffs, when distances between origin and destination make it impractical to price a move on an hourly rate basis, or to have the entire crew travel so far. Van line tariffs are used for long distance moves and hourly rates for local moves.
United Van Lines is Canada’s leading van line for corporate employee and individual relocations. We work directly through the van lines corporate office, which will arrange both local (hourly rate) and long distance (van line tariff) moves with the office or agent closest to your home. United Van Lines/Mayflower Canada has moving companies which cover most communities in Canada.
The United Van Lines/Mayflower Canada offer for the Just Move Program features:
- A 10% discount on hourly rate moves (local moves).
- A minimum 60% discount off the van line tariff for transportation costs for long distance moves, during peak summer months and a 65% minimum during the balance of the year. Additionally packing/unpacking costs will be discounted 30% and free 30 day container storage is available.
- A self pack movers kit is available for $49, which is a $20 discount off comparable packing kits being retailed.
- Free Air Miles, ranging from 50 to 200 depending on the size of the move and with a $500 minimum purchase.
